We offer a range of organic and ethically sourced products, and a licensed caf serving breakfast and lunch, as well as a deli and espresso bar offering takeaway coffee, weekend hampers, and deli boxes.About the Role:We value teamwork and are looking for a qualified and experienced Chef to join our team. The position will report to our Head Chef/Kitchen Manager. Your duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Daily food production of approved menu, supervision, and participationMenu planning within the budget, based on client demand and market requirementsOrdering and managing food supply, food portion control, waste management, and stock procurement (receipt and storage)Costing menu items appropriately and tracking production efficiencyMonitoring product mix, client demand, and special promotionsMonitoring food supply and kitchen equipment par levels, notifying management of additional stock requirementsEnsuring all food is cooked to perfection, served on time, and presented professionallyHandling equipment, appliances, small wares, supplies, and tools effectively and as requiredMaintaining consistent and smooth food preparation operationsManaging temperature checks, cleaning charts, and food freshnessAdhering to guidelines to ensure high standards in food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentationMaintaining high standards in all areas of operation, including food hygiene and safety, food quality, and preparationInterpreting and analyzing kitchen reports, audits, and paperwork to mitigate risks and ensure complianceImproving kitchen operating efficiency by adhering to and upgrading policies and proceduresAbout youThe successful candidate must satisfy the following criteria:Trade Certificate IV of CookeryAt least 3 years of experience in a chefs positionAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and organizational skillsTeam player and supportive of a culture of teamworkJob Type: Full Time, permanentSalary: AUD 77,000 per year plus superannuationIf you think you are suitable for the role, please apply.
