Reporting directly to the WH&S Manager, you will play a vital role in our collaborative WH&S team, providing expert safety advice across a range of major construction and industrial projects. A key focus of your role is to partner, influence and collaborate with key stakeholders to drive a proactive safety culture and deliver meaningful impact, strategically and operationally.What youll do:Champion our safety culture and our commitment to health and safety excellence by:Providing trusted advice and guidance on WHS matters to operational leaders to advance safety maturity;Collaborating closely with project managers and teams to ensure safe, compliant and healthy work sites;Coaching, mentoring and guiding project teams to improve the safety culture and performance.Driving proactive governance through regular risk assessments, inspections and audits;Leading and supporting WHS incident investigations;Providing ongoing guidance on safe work policies and procedures across all levels;Delivering engaging safety inductions and training sessions to employees and contractors;Supporting the enhancement of Safety Management Systems;Preparing monthly, quarterly and yearly business unit and company reports with analysis;Contributing to ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 audit processesPreparing and sharing key safety communicationsWhat youll bring:Recognised expertise as a trusted WHS Advisor with a strong track record in safety excellence and continuous improvementIn depth knowledge of key federal and state legislation governing WHS, construction and electrical safety;Strong coaching and mentoring abilities to elevate WHS capability and performance at all levels.Skilled in influencing and collaborating with Business Unit leaders to embed a proactive safety culture and drive engagement with WHS initiatives.Comprehensive experience leading and conducting incident investigations using ICAM and other root cause analysis methods, facilitating effective close outs and thorough follow-up on corrective actions.Demonstrated ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities and supporting multiple stakeholder groups;Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation, reporting and analytical skills; andInherently resilient, adaptable and flexible, and consistently demonstrates a solution-orientation mindset.Education & Experience:Certificate IV in OHS or relevant Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & SafetyMore than 5 years experience in electrical industry (construction or industrial sites).ICAM training as a Lead InvestigatorGeneral Construction Industry Safety Induction (White Card)Current Queensland drivers licence (QLD)Proficient in using safety reporting platforms and Microsoft applications.Certificate III Electrotechnology and a holder of a current Queensland Electrical Worker LicenceCertificate IV in Training and AssessmentExperienced as Auditor in WHS, Environment or Quality systems with supporting qualifications.About us:At JPR, we believe our people are the heart of our business and when they feel valued and included, they #THRIVE!
