The role supports Councils strategic goals through expert advice, brand-conscious enforcement, and strong team leadership.Primarily, you will; Assist in building an outstanding organisation with a dynamic working culture and a great place to work Positively manage change processes within the unit that will assist in achieving the objectives of the Group and the goals of the Sunshine Coast Regional Council. Provide operational advice and information to Department and Executive Management on unit functions, services and opportunities. Ensure increased efficiencies and improvement in service delivery through operational improvements, innovation and economies of scale. Develop a vibrant cohesive team delivering a seamless quality customer service to the stakeholders of the unitAbout youAs a community-centred leader, you will apply your knowledge and experience of working with relevant local and state legislation to ensure the effective and professional delivery of education, compliance and regulation in response to the needs of the community.You will have prior people management experience in a compliance or legislative environment, ideally in a local or state government body. Youll be able to inspire and lead the team commendably through effective decision making, coaching and mentoring and accountability towards goals and objectives.Experience in preparing legal documents, reports, professional correspondence and media statements, along with qualifications in business, management or related fields highly valued.Criminal History Check RequiredAppointment to this position is subject to the satisfactory completion of a Criminal History Check.Our Culture & Employee BenefitsCouncil is committed to creating an inclusive, culturally diverse, healthy, skilled and dedicated workplace culture.
