We are seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to join our high paced Wellington Service Department.This is a crucial part to our business, so were looking for someone with proven experience in an automotive franchise that is ready for a challenge and wants to make a change.You Will Be Responsible ForAssisting with the Quality Control processesProviding guidance to workshop technicians/apprenticesLiaising with customers regarding technical concernsEnsuring the company safety policy is followed within the workshopUndertake all routine service and repair work on both Toyota and other vehiclesMaintain in-process and final inspection records for quality assurance and production controlSelf-perform quality control inspections of the Automotive Technicians workEnsuring Technician hours are sold effectively, whilst keeping the productivity and efficiency of the workshop teamWorking in conjunction with the Parts department to ensure all Parts are provided for repairsCoaching and mentoring Workshop staff to support their knowledge and performance within the departmentAssisting the Parts & Service Manager with maintaining WOF requirementsThe Successful Applicant WillExperience in the automotive industry with proven service/workshop/technical knowledge and know howExperience in coaching, mentoring and confidently motivating a team with an aptitude for identifying opportunities for improving performancePossess equal parts business acumen and personal motivation in order to meet and exceed targetsDemonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced and challenging environmentOrganised, methodical and able to implement and maintain systems and proceduresStrong communication and interpersonal skillsConfidence in dealing with challenging customer concerns resulting in excellent outcomes for both the customer and the businessAVI is essentialClean and current Full Drivers LicenceIf this sounds like you, APPLY NOW by submitting your application online or if you want to hear more about the role, please contact Mara Kerschbaumer (HR Advisor) on hr@rb.toyota.co.nzApplications close 16 July 2025.
