Working as part of a dynamic, forward-thinking team, you will help shape the systems and processes that support the full lifecycle of Councils assets, from planning and implementation to monitoring and review.You will bring a strong customer service mindset, with a focus on safety, technical excellence, and integrity in every task. Whether its navigating complex regulatory requirements or identifying smarter ways to manage infrastructure, your expertise will play a vital role in ensuring our essential service assets remain safe, reliable, and fit for purpose, now and into the future.Your key focus areas are;Managing Essential Service, pool plant room and pump assets.Developing long term preventative maintenance programs and schedules for essential service and community assets.Maintaining up to date asset data for essential service and community assets.Undertake project/asset investigations and feasibility analysis.Contract Management of our existing Essential Services contractors to ensure the highest standard of service delivery and custom service.Project manage all assigned works including estimating, preplanning, programming, engagement and management of consultants.Coordinate community assets reporting and compliance requirements.Undertake investigations and provide technical advice to assist with the completion of planned, programmed, and scheduled Essential Service works.You are a technically skilled, customer-focused professional with strong experience in asset management, particularly within community and essential services infrastructure. You understand how to develop and implement and refine asset management plans that deliver long-term value.You bring proven experience in project and contract management, along with a working knowledge of essential services legislation and reporting requirements, such as those relating to fire safety systems, HVAC, and vertical transportation. Your expertise also includes navigating local government legislation, Australian Standards, and Building Codes with confidence and precision.You are confident investigating risks, solving technical challenges, and your knowledge of estimating, capital works budgeting, and cost control ensures you deliver solutions that are not only effective but efficient.With excellent stakeholder management skills, you can navigate complex or sensitive issues with clarity and care. You are organised, adaptable, and capable of prioritising tasks independently, while still contributing strongly to a collaborative team environment.You will bring;Diploma qualification in a relevant discipline (for example engineering, HVAC, construction, or project management) or related field, or extensive equivalent experience in a similar role.Knowledge of the legislative and reporting requirements for buildings essential services (e.g. Fire Safety Systems, HVAC, transportation).Demonstrated experience relating to legislation relevant to local government, Australian Standards and Building Codes.Demonstrated experience in investigation of risks relating to building assets.Demonstrated experience in asset management practices relating to community assets (parks, reserves and buildings,).Ability to effectively manage relationships with customers, respond to complaints, and relay outcomes on complex, technical and emotive issues.Ability to independently investigate technical problems relating to use and management of Councils Community Assets and provide practical, cost effective solutions.Sound knowledge of estimating methods and procedures, and capital works budget monitoring and cost control.LETS REVEAL THE PERKSA competitive salary from $101,090 to $117,483 a year.Industry-leading 12 per cent super.Enterprise Agreement pay increases apply.Training and development opportunities.35 hour working week with a four-day week work trialalong with many other perks that come from choosing Lake Mac!LETS TALK ABOUT USOur team are responsible for the asset management functions for existing community assets such as parks and playgrounds, sports facilities, community facilities, swim centres, library and cultural facilities and beach and aquatic facilities.
