Support the attachment, physical and emotional development of a small case load of young people to recover from trauma and break their cycle of homelessness.WHO ARE WE?Lighthouse Foundation provides homes and therapeutic care programs to children and young people impacted by long-term neglect, abuse, and homelessness. We now educate and support Foster Carers in the same way, so that they too can take care of some of Australias most vulnerable children.HOW WILL I HELP?This roles purpose is to provide Therapeutic Case Management to young people who have transitioned to Lighthouse from Residential Care. Utilising a trauma informed practice, attachment theory, and psychoanalytic principles of emotional development to create a holistic therapeutic treatment environment, the primary duties will involve a combination of case management, delivery of individualised and community therapeutic interventions, and supporting the culture in the home through Lighthouses Model of Care.The Therapeutic Case Manager works within a multi-disciplinary team, including Child Protection and other Community Services to support the young people in their care.
