We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our dynamic team and support our expanding international trade activities.Position Overview:This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and supporting audit and compliance activities across both Australian and Chinese operations. The successful candidate will also assist with foreign currency reporting, fixed asset management, month-end closing, and insurance processes.Key responsibilities:Record and organize all financial transactions in a timely manner.Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable:Process vendor invoices, payments, and customer receipts.Reconcile supplier and customer accounts, resolving any discrepancies.Reconcile Bank and Credit Card Statements:Match and verify bank and credit card transactions against company records.Investigate and correct any variances or unrecorded transactions.Audit and Compliance Support:Prepare and provide necessary documentation for external audits in Australia and China.Ensure compliance with local financial reporting and regulatory requirements.Foreign Currency Reporting and Analysis:Identify and monitor open foreign currency positions.Track and analyse daily exchange rate movements.Calculate and report realized and unrealized foreign exchange gains and losses.General Ledger Maintenance:Post journal entries and support monthly GL reconciliations.Ensure accounts are accurate and up to date.Maintain and Update Fixed Asset Register:Record asset acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.Perform periodic reviews to ensure asset records are accurate.Month-End Closing Procedures:Assist in preparing month-end journal entries, reconciliations, and reports.Ensure timely closure and accuracy of financial results.Insurance Renewals and Claims:Support the renewal process by compiling insurance data and liaising with brokers.Assist with claims documentation and provide analysis on insurance-related costs and coverage.Tax compliance:Ensure the companys full compliance with all relevant local and federal tax regulations, including the accurate and timely preparation and lodgment of BAS, TAS, FBT, payroll tax, and income tax returns.Qualifications:Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of work.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Mandarin and English.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Familiarity with the Xero accounting platform is an advantage but not essential.CPA or CA qualification is highly regarded but not mandatory.How do your skills match this job?How do your skills match this job?Sign in and update your profile to get insights.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
