We partner with a network of external service providers and engage with a broad range of stakeholders to ensure programs are responsive, effective, and tailored to local needs.We are currently seeking APS5 Delivery and Engagement Officers to join our dynamic teams within the Employment and Skills teams. These roles are integral to the successful implementation of government policy and the delivery of high-quality services to the Tasmanian community.The Employment and Skills teams support the delivery of employment and skills programs in Tasmania. We work closely with our departments policy areas and providers to implement the Australian Governments employment and skills initiatives. We undertake regular engagement activities working with our providers, Employment and Skills teams in all other states, and other Commonwealth, State, and local government agencies. The programs we contract manage are Workforce Australia, Workforce Australia - Transition to Work, Parent Pathways, Employability Skills Training (EST), Career Transition Assistance (CTA), Local Jobs Program and Job Coordinators, Self-Employment Assistance, Australian Apprenticeship Support Services and the Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program.Duties And ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities of the APS Level 5 may include:Provide administrative assistance to the teams, including mailbox management, running daily reports, reviewing media, preparing correspondence, undertaking research and assessing the eligibility of payment claims.Supporting providers by processing change requests, troubleshooting via systems interrogation and providing clear and accurate advice based on guidelines, task cards or program area guidance.Assisting with performance assessments and compliance of providers in accordance with contracts and performance frameworks, including through the assessment of reports and data, site and signup visits, preparation of feedback and briefs.Undertake risk assessments, contract management planning and negotiation of milestones, and prepare reports for a range of audiences based on research and analysis of performance data.Assist with both routine and random audits against relevant criteria, operational guidelines, legislation, and work instructions, and exercising judgement to assess risk and compliance.Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support the achievement of program and policy objectives.Some travel both intra and interstate, including overnight stays, will be required.How To ApplyApplicants are required to provide a summary (no more than 500 words) that outlines skills, knowledge, and experience and why you should be considered for this vacancy.
