This role focuses on maintaining the readiness of the Incident Control Centre (ICC) facilities and systems, coordinating duty rosters, and supporting the effective functioning of units during both day-to-day and operational periods.Reporting to the Flood Rescue & Operations coordinator and working closely with the Zone Commander and Deputy Zone Commanders, the role contributes to operational coordination, prepares and distributes reports, and facilitates timely information sharing during incidents.You will regularly engage with Local and Unit Commanders and build strong relationships with our dedicated volunteers, visit units across the Zone to support capability development and readiness activities.This role also collaborates with key areas of the organisation including the Capability & Training teams and the State Operations/Command Centre.As part of this position, you will be expected to participate in Operational response activities and on-call operational rosters when required.About the NSW SESOur Mission: NSW SES saving lives and creating safer communities.Our Vision: A trusted volunteer-based emergency service, working together to deliver excellence in community preparedness and emergency response.The NSW SES serves the community as the lead agency for Floods, Storms and Tsunamis. Learn morehereAbout youTo be successful in this role you will:Have sound knowledge and understanding of contemporary emergency response practicesHave the capacity to obtain Incident Management Principal Officer qualifications for Level 2 incidents within 12 months.Have a thorough knowledge of AIIMS principles and processes, and / or willingness to obtain competence within 12 months.Be proficient in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, internal and externalWhat we can offer youYou will enjoy a 35-hour work week, with the potential for flexible work arrangements such as a nine-day fortnight or a four-day work week depending on the requirements of the role and operational needsAttractive salary range of $99,938 to $110,271.00 plus 12%superannuation and leave loading + field allowanceOur work is meaningful and rewarding.
