Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay rangeA$118,771.00/yr - A$118,771.00/yrAn exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Data Analyst - Impact and Business to join the Research Translation team at Burnet!In this role you will play a key role in measuring and communicating the outcomes and societal value of the institute''s medical research and public health activities. You will be involved in collecting, analysing, and synthesizing data to support the development of high-quality impact and business reports for stakeholders, funders, and the broader community. You will also support key internal processes including annual business planning, working group head reviews and strategic planning.You will also combine strong analytical skills with a strategic mindset and a passion for demonstrating the real-world benefits of health research. You will be required to perform project management and work in cross functional teams and be a successful business partner supporting a range of internal stakeholders.You will also:Analyse data related to people and business activity including, research outputs and impacts on health and society, funding, collaborations, and community engagement.Develop strong relationships with a range of key stakeholders by being service-oriented and deeply understanding needs and providing strong business partnering support.Collaborate with researchers, communications teams, and executive leadership to gather qualitative and quantitative data, using a combination of centralised and disparate data.Assist to design processes and systems for data collection, synthesis of data and storage to support various reports.Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with reporting frameworks (e.g., AAMRI, NHMRC, ARC, Research Impact Pathways).Support the preparation of Burnet Impact Report, other impact reports, case studies, and submissions to funding bodies and government agencies.Support the International Program Quality & Effectiveness team with compliance of the DFAT Accreditation and ACFID Code of Conduct obligations to establish processes that demonstrate impact measurement, accountability and organisational performance.Monitor, read, or respond to contact outside of work hours which relates to performance of work where reasonable.Refer to the attached position description for full details. This is an Ongoing Full-Time position. You will have flexible working hours as well as two days per week working from home option.Let''s talk about youThe following criteria are essential requirements:Bachelor''s or master''s degree in data science, Public Health, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.Experience working in a medical research institute, university, or health policy environment.Experience in data analysis (including qualitative), mixed methods reporting, and visualization using tools such as Excel, R, Python, Tableau, or Power BI.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data into meaningful narratives (eg. data storytelling and visualization).Understanding of bibliometrics, altmetrics, and research evaluation methodologies.Familiarity with research impact frameworks and performance indicators in the health and medical research sector.Excellent project management skills encompassing strategic and analytical thinking, adaptability, initiative, accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail.Proven skills in collaboration and business partnering with a range of key stakeholders.The Burnet experienceWe want you to have a successful and meaningful career at Burnet and are committed to providing a supportive workplace environment for all our people.
