AECOM is proud to be a Fortune 500 Most Admired Company, a WGEA Employer of Choice for Gender Equality, Work180 Equitable Workplace Awards 2025 Winner and an AWEI Bronze Tier LGBTQ+ Inclusive Employer.Job DescriptionDue to continued growth in the energy sector, we are expanding our Transmission & Distribution team and are seeking an additional project manager to join our Sydney office.How youll make a difference:Our Energy Team in Sydney have created an exciting opportunity for a Principal, or Director Level Electrical Engineer - Primary Systems within our ''Transmission and Distribution'' team.The person appointed will be responsible to work with and across a strong Transmission and Distribution Team and to provide the appropriate business development, technical support, and deliver quality project outcomes on time and on-budget delivery.This position requires you to be responsible for the development of the substation HV system, specifications, and interface with other disciplines on design issues across the substation configuration, equipment rating, and layout, earthing, insulation coordination, HV cables, and conduit designs.You will be given the unique opportunity to work with one of our key clients who are about to embark on an ambitious major transmission works program of a scale not seen in the Australian electricity sector in many decades.QualificationsThe following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you dont tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply, all applications will be considered.The qualities that help you thrive:Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering.Have strong experience within a senior substation primary engineering position across HV/EHV substations design (up to 500kV ideally).Project experience in NSW, Solar farm / Windfarm connection substation experience.
