Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, the CTO will be responsible for developing and leading the technology strategy that aligns with our organisational goals and drives innovation. This leadership position will oversee the implementation of new technologies and digital initiatives while ensuring compliance with legislative and operational frameworks.The CTO will advocate for digital transformation and improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, staff experience, and community engagement. The CTO will foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement, ensuring our technology services are future-proofed to meet the evolving needs of our community.This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.To be successful in this role, you will have:Proven success as a leader with the ability to grow and develop teams focused on quality outcomes and a customer focus;Significant experience in managing a holistic technological transformation in a large complex organisation, preferably in a local government setting;Proven track record in building an IT centre of excellence that instils credibility and engagement within a complex organisation;Extensive skills in working with Executives and elected officials to provide subject matter expertise and influence long term decision-making;Demonstrated experience contributing to the development and implementation of an enterprise information management strategy and data governance in a medium to large organisation;Demonstrated ability to engage with and influence stakeholders and senior management to drive alignment and achieve strategic digital outcomes:Strong capability in applying sound judgement and advanced problem-solving skills to complex and evolving digital and organisational challenge.To view our position description which provides more information for you to learn more about this role please click the Apply button.Other important informationA competitive total remuneration salary package will be provided for this role.We have a permanent full-time role availableWe are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role - 2 days from home and 3 days onsiteThis role is located at the Wyong Administration Building.A leaseback vehicle is provided in this role for official duties and private use and your choice of vehicle will be provided when one becomes available in accordance with Councils Vehicle Policy. In the meantime, either an alternate pre-used vehicle or a vehicle allowance of $207.31 per week is temporarily applied for this position due to ongoing issues with supply for new vehicles.Council may create an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.At Central Coast Council we provide team members with a range of extras that help them balance their life when they need it.
