Taking a hands-on approach, this Head of Finance (Australia) role will help assist in the management and communication of the companies financial & corporate accounting activities. This role is pivotal to providing financial oversight over the Australian operations of the organisation; focusing on ensuring accurate and timely reporting of the financial results of each site.About The RoleAn exciting, business-critical role with a multinational industry-leading organisation currently exists in order to fill a key, senior leadership role in their finance team. Taking a hands-on approach, this Head of Finance (Australia) role will help assist in the management and communication of the companies financial & corporate accounting activities. This role is pivotal to providing financial oversight over the Australian operations of the organisation; focusing on ensuring accurate and timely reporting of the financial results of each site.The ResponsibilitiesReporting directly into the CFO for the region; your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);Drive the timely completion of month-end accounting and reporting for the Australian region with the support of the teamBusiness partnering cross-functionally to drive the timely completion of the annual budgets for each siteCoach, develop and grow a high-peforming team to further develop existing capabilities and technical knowledgeSupport the CFO on any other business development opportunities as requiredTimely completion of all tax-related cycles and the annual tax return processPrepare regular cashflow forecasts to ensure that there is sufficient cash reserves to support growth CAPEX and working capitalUnderstand key drivers of the revenue and costs to derive a ''driver-based'' budgetComplete all required supplementary reporting as requiredReview commerciality of existing supplier relationships and review procurement opportunitiesDrive continuous improvement in systems, reporting, process and efficiencyThe successful applicant will haveIdeally, you will be a CA/CPA qualified accounting professional and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross-functionally within the business will be crucial to your success.
