Our focus is on innovating the client experience and leading change in legal service delivery.Our firm''s people-first focus supports you to forge a meaningful career, and pursue a specialisation aligned to your skills, capability and passion.About The GroupOur long-standing relationships and deep knowledge of the insurance industry have seen us recognised as the premier Insurance Law & Litigation practice in Australia.Reporting directly to the Partner you will have the opportunity to work on high-profile cases, collaborate with industry-leading professionals, and contribute to the continued success and growth of our practice.ResponsibilitiesThis position will provide the opportunity to engage in Cyber matters and provide our clients with relevant legal advice regarding cyber claims.Cyber Incident Response ManagementManaging cyber incident response as part of a teamHave primary responsibility for the day-to-day management and provision of cyber incident breach response servicesRetaining various experts necessary for the cyber incident responseLegal advice on risks arising from a cyber incidentAdvising on privacy implications as a result of a data breachPreparing notifications to regulator(s) and affected individuals as necessaryProviding client support and being the regular client liaison during the incident response processCorresponding and obtaining instructions from clients, both insured and insurersAdvising on cyber recoveries (if any)Advise on disputes arising from the cyber incidentCyber Coverage AdviceAdvising insurers on cyber coverage issuesActing as coverage and monitoring counsel on significant cyber incidents with day-to-day carriage of matterPreparing briefs for Counsel to advise if necessaryAdvise on regulatory investigations & proceedings, disputes or class actions arising from a data breachAbout YouTertiary qualification in LawCurrent Practising Certificate for relevant jurisdiction0-3 years PAE working principally in cyber or financial lines or commercial litigationExperience or exposure to insurance desiredExcellent critical reasoning and investigative skills with the ability to think laterallyStrong legal drafting abilityEffective and timely file management and billing abilityA highly developed customer service ethicProven ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships, particularly the ability to earn the confidence and trust of key stakeholdersExcellent influencing and negotiation capabilityStrong verbal and written communication skillsHighly organised, able to plan and prioritise work to meet key deliverablesProven ability to facilitate presentations and meetings with varying sizes of groups of peopleThe ability to question the status quo and offer practical solutionsCulturePeople choose Lander & Rogers for our down-to-earth, collaborative and supportive culture.We invest in our people and empower them to bring their best selves to work, both personally and professionally.
