Thiess is seeking a Training Coordinator to join our dynamic team at the QCoal Northern Hub Project in Collinsville.As our next Training Coordinator, reporting to the Health, Safety & Training Manager, you will work closely with a high-performing team to coordinate all functional safety and training activities on site. This includes the maintenance of accurate training records, compliance documentation, and reporting.Working a 5/2 roster your key responsibilities in this role will include:Assist with the management of site gate competency complianceManage course bookings, onsite training and inductionsManage a team of Training Specialists and Crew Trainers across the siteManage the site data to ensure compliance with the Learning Management SystemCreate and maintain site training plansMaintaining the site training needs analysis (TNA) to identify gaps between current skill, competency levels and required skill levels in consultation with key stakeholdersDevelop, implement and maintain site training plans with a focus on proficiency-based training outcomesDevelop, implement and maintain site training plans with a focus on new to the industry engagementOrganise training activities while ensuring adherence to all legislative and Thiess requirementsCoordination of Emergency Response Team trainingAbout YouTo be successful in this role you will require the following:Experience in managing a large site, complex Training needs analysisStrong administrative skills and experience using online training systemsCertificate IV Trainer AssessorHigh level computer literacyAbility to map training packages to recognised competencies (particularly RII packages)Experience with heavy earthmoving equipment (Dump truck, Watercart, Grader, Dozer, Loader & Excavator) and/or a Mining Maintenance background will be an advantageWhat Thiess Can Do for YouA Monday- Friday roster on offer with a monthly RDOIndividual flexibility arrangements on offer - (Live Local or DIDO)Discretionary bonus availableThiesss commitment to ongoing training & developmentHealth & well-being rewards program through AIA VitalitySalary sacrifice optionsRange of corporate discounts including health insurance (Medibank), travel & retail products.About usThiess works with clients in Australia, Asia and the Americas in the dynamic field of open-cut and underground mining.The pioneering spirit of our founders the legendary Thiess brothers and their families is our legacy, and inspires our vision to harness the power of people and technology to drive sustainable change.At Thiess, you will have the opportunity to play a part in the global energy transition.
