Karara Mining Limited (KML) is an Ansteel Group company formed as a joint venture with Gindalbie Metals Limited. Ansteel is one of the largest iron ore producers and steel makers in China. Located 200km south-east of Geraldton, Western Australia, Karara is the largest mining operation and the first major magnetite mine in the Mid-West. It produces a premium, high-grade concentrate product for export to steelmakers.The OpportunityKarara Mining is looking for an enthusiastic and capable Human Resources Advisor to join our collaborative team in the Perth CBD office, working Monday to Friday. This is a great opportunity for a HR professional looking to step up and broaden their exposure across both corporate and operational HR.Reporting to a supportive leader, youll play a key role in providing day-to-day generalist HR support to our Perth office, as well as contribute to activities that support our Site and Port operations. Youll gain exposure to a broad range of HR functions and be supported to grow your capability in business partnering.To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:A degree in Human Resources or a related discipline.Some exposure within a generalist HR role, preferably within the mining, resources or heavy industry sectors.Understanding of the Fair Work Act and general HR/ER practices.Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.A proactive and solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.The ability to build positive working relationships across diverse teams.Key Responsibilities Include:Support the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including onboarding, reporting, and offboarding activities.Maintain the accuracy of HR data and complete regular HR reporting.Provide first-level advice on HR and employee relations matters, escalating as required.Assist with coordination of apprentice and trainee programs.Support visa coordination and compliance processes.Manage exit interview scheduling and reporting.Ensure HR approvals are completed within workflow systems and support headcount management processes.Administer employee benefits and assist with medical insurance queries for inpatriates.Support incident investigations and non-work-related injury case management in the Perth office.About Karara MiningLocated 200 km south-east of Geraldton in the Shire of Perenjori, Western Australia Karara has an expected mine life of 30+ years. The operation includes a large open pit mine, complex ore processing and beneficiation plant and significant infrastructure and logistics networks.
