Full-time position (38 hours per week)Flexible work arrangements availableTemporary role (3-year contract with the possibility of extension)Are you looking for an opportunity to be part of a small innovative organisation seeking to make a positive difference in the local region?We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinkingRegional Waste Management Coordinatorto lead the delivery of our Regional Waste Strategy and spearhead collaborative waste and circular economy initiatives across our member councils.About the RoleThis is your chance to:Drive regional initiatives that recover resources, protect the environment, and promote circular economy principles.Contribute to the delivery of the NSW Waste and Sustainable Materials Strategy 2041 and its targets.Build partnerships between councils, the EPA, and industry to shape sustainable waste solutions.Influence Federal, State and regional waste policies and programs.About YouThe successful candidate will have:Qualifications and/or minimum 3 years experience in the waste and resource management sectorProven success in relationship building, negotiation, and cross-organisational collaboration.Deep understanding of NSW and local government waste management policies and practices.Strong project management expertise with a focus on evidence-based policy development.Experience preparing detailed reports, submissions, and funding applications.Demonstrated knowledge of procurement and contract management processes.What we OfferOur offices are located in Lane Cove close to shops, cafes, an aquatic centre and a gym.
