Each space is a direct translation of how the furniture, homewares, art and lighting can exist in unison.What we are looking for :We are seeking a full time Research and Development - Upholstery Specialist to join our Research and Development team. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for developing our upholstery products from concept to production. You will capture and execute the production briefs in your final designs and prepare production information to ensure a seamless product launch. The role is onsite at our HQ in Scoresby, (Victoria, Australia).What the role entails :Produce upholstery models, tools and protypes for new productsWork on the timeline of product releases with the Head of EngineeringWork in consultation with the R&D Timber, Design and Engineering Teams on construction methods for new productsEnsure new products are in line with design expectations, structural integrity and fit for useCoordinate schedules with Timber R&D Team in order to release products into productionProvide details on construction and modification of custom piecesLegacy improvements: highlight and implement any process or material improvements for existing rangesOversee continuous improvement activities in R&D Upholstery throughout the production floorAssist with Accumark and the digitalising of patternsAssist with any Customer Support and After Sales queriesAssist with training on new products or equipment implemented into the factoryWork with Cutting/Sewing and Upholstery Leading Hands on new product releases and product trainingWhat we require :A minimum of 4 years experience in upholstery and product designQualification in an upholstery trade or a related work experience in manufacturingExcellent time management and organisational skillsWhat we provide :We are proud of our people what their individual talents are, and we reward our people right from the very beginning.
