These Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist will play a key role in supporting the Bidding Department during the preparation of EoI and Tender Proposal. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the procurement of materials, equipment, services and subcontracts in cross-functional collaboration environments for major infrastructure and energy and resource industries.About the companyAtom Resources is recruiting on behalf of a Tier 1 engineering and construction contractor delivering some of Australias largest and most complex energy, infrastructure, and resource projects. With a global/ major national footprint and strong delivery record, they are known for safety, sustainability, and innovation.About the roleWe are seeking Procurement and Supply Chain Specialists to join large-scale infrastructure, water, build and energy projects at varying phases of delivery from early bidding to construction mobilisation. Each role will sit within the project team, overseeing procurement strategy, compliance, and execution from day one.DutiesConduct market research to identify potential suppliers and subcontractors, evaluate supplier capability, and maintain procurement databases, including supplier qualification. Liaise with business stakeholders to align on business requirements, scopes, and specifications to be incorporated into RFQ, RFP and issue NDAs, and issue RFQs promptly and professionally.Manage all external and internal stakeholder communication to ensure the procurement process is undertaken in an effective and compliant manner.Maintain and report procurement activity status weekly during the bidding phase, provide procurement transparency to senior stakeholders, and ensure procurement KPIs are met.Define the Vendor List, preparing the request for proposal to send to suppliers, and managing commercial and contractual negotiation activities with the identified Vendors, to pursue synergy, qualitative excellence, and lead time optimization.Perform assessment of Offers, Prepare commercial comparison sheets, identify areas for improvement and deliver competitive commercial outcomes within the deadline and in accordance with procedures Negotiation commercial and contractual conditions with suppliers, Manage supplier relationships and familiarise with supplier markets,Skills & experience510 years experience in procurement roles supporting large infrastructure or energy projectsBackground in Client/ consultancy /EPC/EPCM contracting and Tier 1 or 2major delivery environmentsConfidence in having technical and commercial discussions with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to analyse prices by assessing basic cost drivers (raw Material, Subcontractor, Plant & Equipment)Bachelors degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or FinanceProficient in Microsoft Office and platforms like SAP, Oracle, or JDECultureCollaborative, fast-paced, and delivery-focused. Youll work within a multi-disciplinary team of professionals who value transparency, safety, and high performance.
