With industry-leading safety standards, you can focus on doing your best work alongside skilled colleagues while gaining job training to progress your career.Your QualificationsWe are looking for a qualified Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Professional that:Aboriginal Health Practitioner: Holds a Certificate IV in Aboriginal Primary Health Care (Practice) and is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)Aboriginal Health Worker: Holds or aspires to hold a minimum Certificate III qualification in Aboriginal Primary Health Care. Aboriginal Health Workers willing to obtain Cert IV in Aboriginal Primary Health Care (Practice) will be supported to transition to an Aboriginal Health Practitioner position upon completion and registration with AHPRA.Eligible to drive in NSW and the ability to travel as required.The RoleAs an Aboriginal Health Practitioner, Primary Care, you will work as a key member of our multidisciplinary health centre team to provide flexible, holistic, and culturally sensitive health care services to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people and apply key strategies for face-to-face patient care.There is a focus on prevention and management of chronic disease for Aboriginal clients and supporting them on their journey throughout custody back into community, particularly those with chronic or complex health conditions.You will work collaboratively with nursing staff, Integrated Care Service, health professionals, Corrective Services NSW, Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations and other relevant health and community groups to ensure the delivery of seamless, timely and effective health care to Aboriginal clients.About the Locations:Mid North Coast Correctional CentreThis vacancy may be eligible for an incentive package with the following:Rural Health Workforce Incentive: A Rural and Regional fortnightly allowance of up to $10,000 (*subject to location*).Mid North Coast Correctional Centre is a multi-security facility for male and female inmates, located in Aldavilla on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales. It sits about 455 km north of Sydney and 14 km west of the regional town of Kempsey. The centre is set in a semi-rural area surrounded by farmland and bushland, offering a secure yet accessible location.Metropolitan Remand and Reception CentreThe Metropolitan Remand and Reception Centre (MRRC) is a maximum-security facility for male offenders, serving as a primary intake and remand centre. It is one of three correctional facilities within the Silverwater Correctional Complex, located in Sydneys western suburbs. The centres location provides easy access to courts and legal services, playing a vital role in managing the metropolitan remand population.Silverwater Women''s Correctional CenterSilverwater Womens Correctional Centre is a secure facility dedicated to housing female offenders. Located within the Silverwater Correctional Complex in Sydneys western suburbs, it provides accommodation, support, and rehabilitation programs tailored specifically for women.
