We also offer customized, integrated solutions for protection system design, automation, control, and communication, tailored to our clients'' needs.About the RoleDue to our continued growth, we are seeking an Lead Distribution Engineer to support our Major Projects Team in Perth. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a high quality of service delivery and technical support to our customers and lead a team of engineers.We believe in being the best. Here, we champion cross-pollination across diverse disciplines like engineering in renewable energy or high voltage transmission lines projects, allowing your skills and knowledge to evolve and flourish.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the team to deliver projects on schedule and quality.Be a leader for the team and the interface between APD Global and our customers.Be the subject matter expert in distribution connection and network design in accordance with Western Power and/or Horizon Power utility standards and understanding of their processes.Provide exceptional quality control support for the department, ensuring quality in our designs and delivery to clients in a timely manner.Provide guidance and training for engineers to develop their knowledge and skills in completing compliant constructable designs.Manage client interactions while maintaining mutually beneficial professional relationships.Demonstrate a proven track record in:Ensuring quality standards through industry accepted quality assurance methods.Demonstrated excellence in overhead power line and underground network design and modeling and utility standards.Demonstrated excellence in design of renewable energy systems.Demonstrated experience in contract and stakeholder management.Experience in AutoCAD, and MicroStation drafting.What You Need to SucceedWe are looking for someone who shares our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and who actively pursues continuous learning to shape the future.At least 8 years of continual experience with electricity distribution networks, particularly with Western Power and/or Horizon Power.A minimum of a BEng/BSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.Experience in project delivery including preparing designs, material lists, estimating connection costs, and securing customer approvals.Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders.A project management and excellence in service delivery mindset.A valid driver''s license with an acceptable driving record.Australian ResidentWhy Join Us?APD Global is a well-established consulting company with strong relationships within the utility and mining sector.You will get to experience delivering a broad range of electrical projects in the distribution and renewables area.We strive to be the best at what we do in terms of quality of our service and culture.Competitive and flexible remuneration packages.Value individual autonomy and trust with options for flexible working arrangements to suit individual needs.APD is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
