An annual bonus structure is also offered.Key ResponsibilitiesReview geotechnical information for input in geotechnical design.Design, review, and implement Hazard Plans, Permit to Drill & Mine, and Permits to Mine.Provide daily geological advice related to the mines current and future plans.Conduct slope stability assessments, 3D modelling, and underground stability review.Assess, audit, and facilitate the assessment of existing and new underground critical areas.Manage geotechnical risk in accordance with relevant Mining Acts and Regulations.Perform stability analysis of UG excavations using accepted industry practices, including slopes in open pits where needed.Facilitate internal and external audits and inspections for the technical services department.Optimize ground support policies for underground development to manage ground conditions cost-effectively and practically.Improve selective mining processes to reduce stope overbreak and dilution, maintaining a safety-focused mindset.About YouWhite CardTertiary qualification in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or Mining Engineering.Minimum one year of tunnelling or underground mining experience; coal mining experience is advantageous.Clear communicator with an open personality.Experience with Geotechnical & Mining Software, including LeapFrog, Minex, Plaxis, RocScience suite, and Map3D.Experience in mine production and development operations.Strong analytical skills and understanding of statutory requirements for NSW mines.Send your expression of interest and attach your resume to resumes@jdkgeotech.com.
