Fortescue is leading the world with our plan to decarbonise our iron ore operations, projects that harness renewable energy and the development of technology that will change our planet forever.Location: Perth Fortescues Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar peopleRoster: Monday to FridayThe Principal Analyst will play a pivot role in leading and supporting key strategic projects across Fortescue.Key ResponsibilitiesProject framing: Understand the problem that needs to be solved and develop an analytical approach and workplan to solve the given problemMarket intelligence: Gather and analysis industry trends, competitive dynamics and customer demand to understand risks and opportunities for FortescueInternal assessment: Analyse Fortescues internal costs and capabilities to identify opportunities to drive revenue or cost improvementsStakeholder engagement: Work with leaders, experts and external stakeholders to collect information, test ideas and jointly develop recommendationsStrategy formulation: Define strategic options and development recommendations for the leadership team to endorseProject management: Manage project progress against the initial plan including keeping key stakeholders accountable and identifying risks and potential mitigants.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelors degree in business, Economics, Finance, Engineering or a related field4 + years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, business analysis or commercial roles or related fieldsExcellent communication and presentation skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to write clearly and concisely strong writing skillsDemonstrated project management skills and ability to work with cross-functional teamsAbility to effectively operate across multiple areas with a broad range of stakeholders.Our CommitmentFortescue celebrates individual strengths and team members are encouraged to bring their whole selves to work.
