Spicy Web is an award-winning digital marketing and design agency based in Melbourne, known for delivering results-first, creative strategies. Were searching for an experienced SEO Specialist (minimum 2 years in a similar role) with strong technical knowledge and a passion for driving organic growth. This client-facing role requires excellent communication skills, as youll manage your own portfolio of clients through regular video and in-person strategy sessions. Youll work closely under the Head of SEO and collaborate with our broader digital marketing team to achieve real results. At Spicy Web, we believe in doing Good Work for Good Peoplewe choose to work with clients who are purpose-driven, values-aligned, and great fun to partner with.Key Responsibilities:Plan, build, and manage tailored SEO strategies across a portfolio of B2B and B2C clientsConduct in-depth keyword research and develop on-page optimisation strategies using semantic SEO best practicesImplement off-site SEO tactics including backlink audits, outreach, and authority-building initiativesImprove click-through rates with structured data, schema markup, and rich snippetsDevelop content-led strategies to grow organic visibility and build site authorityClient Management & CommunicationOwn day-to-day client communication with regular check-ins, strategic recommendations, and monthly performance reportsTranslate complex SEO insights into meaningful business impact for clientsBuild and nurture trusted, long-term client relationships through proactive, value-driven supportUser Experience & CROIdentify opportunities to improve UX and conversion performance across websitesProvide strategic input to enhance site structure, content flow, and engagementImplement tracking pixels and conversion code on landing pages to measure performanceData Analysis & ReportingMonitor and analyse data via GA4, Search Console, and other SEO tools to identify trends, gaps, and opportunitiesSupport continuous optimisation by using data to inform testing and decision-makingReport on results in a clear, actionable, and client-friendly formatStay up to date with SEO trends, algorithm updates, and emerging toolsParticipate in training and professional development opportunitiesContribute new ideas and innovations to enhance team performance and client outcomesAbout You:Passionate about SEO and always exploring new ways to drive organic performanceVersatile across a wide range of industries and client typesConfident in crafting tailored SEO strategies that align with business goalsMeticulous attention to detail and strong workload managementOutstanding communication and presentation abilitiesExperienced in running day-to-day campaigns and collaborating across teams to deliver high-quality workDeep technical SEO knowledge, including audits, migrations, and resolving complex site issuesProficient with key SEO tools like Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, GA4, and GSCAbout Spicy Web:Flex-work Friendly Embrace a true work/life balance with a flexible hybrid model that works for you.
