Reporting to the Director ICT, this position is tasked with the administration, maintenance, and security of the school''s digital systems and services. These include administering Level 2 Systems, Applications, Cloud Services, Identity Management, Cybersecurity, and Integrations. Key to this role is ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of Ascham systems, while also implementing and managing cybersecurity measures to protect the Schools ICT assets.If this is you, please keep reading!What You Need to Do to SucceedEnsure physical and virtual IT infrastructure, systems and services are effectively implemented, administered, maintained and upgraded to meet the ongoing requirements of the SchoolEnsure the smooth integration and interoperability of various systems and applications across the SchoolImplement systems and infrastructure projects e.g. servers, storage, monitoring, and backup proceduresMonitor system performance, and ensure high availability and reliability of all digital services including backup and disaster recovery plansEvaluate and recommend hardware/software products to enhance services, resilience, and efficiencyLiaise with vendors and service providers for system integration, support and service level agreementsAdminister and manage Microsoft 365 services, including email, collaboration tools, and cloud storage."Assist in the deployment and support of Microsoft and Apple devices, including licensing, software distribution, patch management and endpoint protection solutionsIdentify and plan for hardware capacity, end-of-life, and service renewal issues.Oversee identity management systems to ensure secure and efficient access control for all usersDevelop and enforce cybersecurity policies and procedures and conduct regular penetration testsMonitor and respond to security incidents, conduct regular assessments, and educate staff and students on cybersecurity best practices.What You BringDegree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security or related field; and/or equivalent work experience5+ years experience in an ICT Systems Administration support role within a similar-sized organisationRelevant Systems and Cyber Security certifications such as CSEP, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert etcProven Microsoft 365 and Azure administration skills, and experience in other cloud technologies such as AWSExperience in automation and scripting (Powershell)Experience managing windows server and virtual server environmentsProven ability to manage data protection and backup solutionsExperience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools and endpoint protectionAbility to develop and enforce cybersecurity policies and proceduresExperience in the development, implementation and management of new systems, procedures, controls, content management systems and disaster recovery plansExceptional interpersonal skills and commitment to positive and professional stakeholder relationshipsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to show initiative and prioritise workA current Working with Children Clearance (WWCC) or willingness to obtain.ITIL and other cyber security accreditations are highly desirable.The successful applicant will enjoy a stimulating work environment in a team of talented professionals, and attractive remuneration and benefits.Interested?Further information, including a position description for this role is available at www.ascham.nsw.edu.auIf this sounds like you, please apply via SEEK no later than 11.59pm on Tuesday 24 June 2025.Applications should include a cover letter and resume (listing WWCC, CPR and First Aid details if available).We are conducting interviews for this role on a rolling basis and encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible to ensure consideration.Please note only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.Ascham School seeks to provide a child-safe environment.
