Enjoy great rewards and benefitsAM & Night Duty Shifts2 x Permanent Part Time OpportunitiesSalary Packaging benefits up to $15,900 annually to maximise your take home payPosition 1 - AM Shifts (0700 - 1506)Week 1WedWeek 2Tue, Wed, MonPosition 2 - Night Duty Shifts (2320 - 0730)Week 1Wed, ThursWeek 2Wed, SatAbout The RoleLiaising with the Care Manager and Residential Services Manager, you will direct and deliver high-quality nursing care to our clients.Key Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited ToLeading and supervising support provision for daily living in accordance with each residents care/ service planLeading and promoting social and physical engagement in all resident interactionsAssessing residents condition and functional ability and ensuring risks are identified, managed and evaluated, discussed with relevant staff/each resident or representatives and included in their care and service planningEnsuring optimal use of medications, monitoring for adversity and administering in a timely and safe mannerProviding leadership, direction, support, mentoring and coaching to Personal Carers, Enrolled Nurses, Hotel Service staff, Lifestyle, Maintenance and Administration staff on each shiftEnsuring there is a clear and succinct handover from shift to shift and relevant documentation in the 7 day handover sheet correlate with the progress notes, alert notification form, care plan suggested change forms and risk management plansEnsuring all staff read and comply with all policies, procedures and work instructions relevant to themFor further details regarding the scope of the role, please refer to our website or the attached position description.About YouWe are looking for people who will be the difference in the lives of our residents and clients.The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA registration as an Registered NurseCurrent First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) & Current CPR Certificate (HLTAID009)Previous experience working as an Registered Nurse in an Aged Care EnvironmentSound communication skills with a level of English literacy that enables you to speak in a manner that older people can understand, as well as the ability to read written instructions and to write clearly and concisely particularly in progress notesExceptional time management skills to manage own workload to meet deadlines and to support other staffOutstanding problem solving skills to balance supporting residents desire for independence and self determination to make their own choices against potential risks and duty of careHigh level understanding of the requirements to support residents living with dementia including those who display challenging behavioursUnderstanding of how to apply AN-ACC to ensure optimum levels of funding are achievedExcellent contemporary best practice clinical knowledge including of medicines used in aged careExcellent knowledge of the Aged Care Standards particularly as they relate to accreditationAbout UsSouthern Cross Care is one of Australias leading charitable aged care and retirement living service providers.
