Gate Gourmet combines culinary expertise with the highest standards of food safety and production to deliver delicious, healthy, and affordable meals to over 270 million travellers around the globe.As our Regional Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for the management and supervision of the Quality Assurance System with our sites with the objective of retaining, as well as compliance with G ategroup global Australia & NZ around customer food safety and quality standards and continuous improvement in site with QA management systems and the objective of retaining ISO22000 Halal certification and compliance including continuous improvement to in site. Reporting directly to the Head of Compliance QA & Operations this role will provide leadership, coaching and compliance to standards. This role is full-time based onsite out of the Mascot officealthough it is envisaged that there will be a high level of travel involved. Being a people person is the key to this roles success as you will be required to build strong relationships with Unit Managers across the business.Your key focus areas:Co-ordinate with other functions to develop and improve food safety and quality manage systemsCoordinate daily QA tasks to assure objectives are achievedResponsible for driving KPI targets set for Food safety and quality set for the Oceania (Australia & NZ)Ensure all direct and indirect reports achieve KPIs set for Food safety and Quality set for the Oceania regionConduct and report on outcomes of internal audits to the management teamLiaise with governmental agencies regarding food safety related compliance topicsMaintain Food safety system documentationLiaise with staff to ensure that safety is maintained, reports at findings to managementConduct supplier audits when requiredDiscuss food safety and quality requirements with customersReview and authorise site corrective actions for control of non-conformancesCoordinate site customer auditsSummarise and report on food safety and quality issues to the compliance and Unit ManagersLiaise with Account Managers or other personnel in customer complaints investigation to ensure swift corrective action and rectifying any deviation in standards or performanceRecord, analyse and report to customer on product quality and serviceAssures efficient food safety training of all staffLeads and documents meeting minutes in QA and Food Safety including HACCP, ISO22000, Halal and compliance meetings and forumsParticipates in shift briefings and management meetings (if required)Participates and contributes to regional QA and food safety calls held in Asia Pacific and Middle East (APME)Conducting internal audits (quality management systems, site infrastructure)Arranging and sending samples for microbiologicalConducting floor inspectionsAbout you:Minimum Bachelor degree of Food Science/Technology (or related field).Minimum 3 years QA and Food safety experiencePrevious experience as a Quality Assurance Manager and / or Regional Quality Assurance Manager in a similar environmentProject management experience would be highly regardedHACCP and or ISO22000 certification in the last 3 yearsInternal or External auditor training would be idealStrong communication with internal and external stakeholdersExperience with food safety and quality assurance is mandatory.Full and restricted work rightsIf you want to be part of a team that helps make travel and culinarymemories, join us! #J-18808-Ljbffr
