About The RoleThis position is a permanent full-time role in the People and Safety team, based at Moruya. The successful candidate will be responsible for acting as a strategic consultant to management, developing and implementing HR strategies that support business goals. This role involves providing strategic HR advice, managing employee relations, identifying training needs, supporting talent acquisition and retention, and ensuring compliance with HR regulations.Additionally, the Partner contributes to the development, maintenance and implementation of the Fitness for Work and Return-to-Work Program at Council. Working in partnership with all levels of the Council, the role provides advice, guidance and assistance to maintain health and safety, and workers compensation legislation.The starting salary for this position is $84,580.30 per annum plus 12% superannuation.To view the salary information and prerequisites, please view the Position Description.About YouWe are looking for someone with relevant qualifications combined with high level knowledge and experience in either Health, Safety and/or Case Management and/or extensive experience in Work Health and Safety, Case Management or Injury Management. You are an accredited Return to Work Coordinator in NSW and have working knowledge of NSW workers compensation and NSW WHS legislation, or a willingness to obtain. You also have:Proven experience as a HR business partner or similar role, with a good knowledge of local government award, and relevant HR legislation.High level of facilitation skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with managers and staff, utilising effective communication, and influencing skills.Experience and passion for driving positive organisational culture, and continuous improvement programs.Proven ability to manage multiple projects with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.High level of oral and written communication skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.About UsThe beautiful Eurobodalla Shire is located on Yuin Country on the far south coast of NSW and offers an enviable coastal lifestyle with easy access to Canberra and Sydney.
