Job DescriptionJob Summary:The ideal candidate will monitor the operations in the manufacturing department to ensure the production of high-quality parts, meet production targets, and uphold a safe working environment.Job Responsibilities:Lead and guide hourly employees, ensuring adherence to company policies and legal requirements. Responsibilities encompass training, and managing staff, delegating tasks, evaluating performance, and addressing concerns to maintain a motivated workforce.Drive the production of exceptional parts at competitive prices by strategically assigning trained personnel, coordinating raw materials, changeovers, and schedules for efficient operations.Foster versatility among employees by cross-training them in various job roles, including performance and quality checks, enhancing flexibility in job assignments.Uphold quality standards by continuously monitoring employee and equipment performance throughout shifts.Support employee development through timely feedback, rewards, and disciplinary actions, fostering a safe and nurturing work environment.Maintain high safety standards through vigilant housekeeping and provision of necessary safety equipment, ensuring consistent application across facilities.Ensure smooth production flow by exchanging status reports with preceding and succeeding shifts regarding production, waste, and quality concerns.Facilitate conflict resolution by promoting an open-door policy and guiding employees through the resolution process.Other duties as assigned by supervisor.Education, Skills and Experience:Associates degree from two-year or technical college or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.License, Certification or Special Requirements:None required.Work Environment and Physical Demands:The work environment and physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee will encounter to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
