You''ll lead the team of mechanics based in Dubbo and Wellington, providing direct supervision and guidance to skilled tradespeople across multiple locations while fostering a collaborative team environment that promotes professional development and strong workplace relationships. In this hands-on position, you''ll have the opportunity to expand your technical expertise across diverse fleet systems and gain valuable experience in strategic asset management, stakeholder communication, and business operations while working within a supportive environment that values innovation and professional excellence.Youll Find Growth ThroughEffectively manage the day-to-day operation of the Dubbo and Wellington Fleet Workshops including Field ServiceCarrying out and assisting mechanics with diagnosis and repairs of complex systems and equipment including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systemsLeading workshop teams in Dubbo and WellingtonEffectively communicating with key stakeholders regarding machine maintenance and availability to minimise disruptions to works/construction projectsWhat You''ll BringTo thrive in this role, you will need:Certificate IV in a relevant discipline or Qualified and licenced Heavy Vehicle or Plant Mechanic/Motor Mechanic with demonstrated solid experience in the trade.Demonstrated experience in supervision and leadership of a small team.Experience with Asset Management Systems and Software.High level of communication skills.Demonstrated competency in computer operation and data entryWe Would Also Love You To HaveIPWEA Fleet Management CertificateCurrent AIS Motor and Heavy Vehicle Inspection AuthorityForklift Licence, Class HR Driving Licence or Refrigerant LicenceReady to find more from work and life?Join us, and help strengthen our community and your career.This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $89,387 to $103,883 inclusive of market allowance.To find out more about this role, explore the Position Description and feel free to reach out to our Fleet Maintenance Coordinator on 02 6801 4944 to make an enquiry.This position requires a pre-employment health assessment.
