Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Quality Mechanical Inspector for a precision Machine Shop and Sheet Metal Fabrication Company to join our team!Responsibilities:Perform physical inspection of incoming raw materials, parts manufactured and/or supplied by outside suppliers. Examine all documents for accuracy to specifications and record all certifications supplied.Participate in daily in-process inspections.Conduct final inspections, with knowledge of AS9102 requirements.Prepare quality documentation.Check inspection tools for proper calibration; recall tools requiring outside calibration.Assist in quality product planning.Inspect both precision machined parts and sheet metal parts to verify every characteristic using appropriate tools, ensuring 100% quality on every item shipped.Verify that travelers are complete and management-approved.Work closely with quality engineering.Qualifications:Strong attention to detail.Experience working in a machine shop environment.Experience with inspection measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers; knowledge of CMM Zeiss Contura is a plus.Strong knowledge of GD&T and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings of machined components, fabricated parts, and assemblies.Computer skills; knowledge of Discuss software (training will be provided to the right candidate).Experience performing 1st piece and in-process inspections.Final inspection experience with AS9102.Experience with ERP/MRP/QMS; Pro Shop experience is a plus.U.S. citizenship required.To be considered, please click "Apply Now."Company Description:We are a precision CNC machining and sheet metal fabricator serving the defense, aerospace, and commercial industries. #J-18808-Ljbffr
