This permanent role is based at our state-of-the-art Jandakot manufacturing facility.On top of working with a driven and inspiring team, Hellers looks after its team with excellent benefits, including free parking, a supportive culture, birthday leave, and above industry standard generous parental leave provisions.About the RoleJoin our dynamic Quality Assurance team, where youll lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of food safety and compliance programs on site. As the Food Safety and Compliance Lead, youll report to the Quality Assurance Manager with dotted line across national functions. Your role ensures that our site meets regulatory, customer, and internal standards and supports a strong food safety culture through technical leadership, risk management and continuous improvement initiatives.Responsibilities:Champion quality and food safety, leading the sites compliance efforts with applicable regulatory, customer, and internal standards.Maintain audit readiness, managing internal verification systems, and supporting the QA Manager in risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.Provision of expert guidance and leadership with import and export, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory standards.Act as the senior compliance representative onsite, supporting QA and operations.Prepare for and lead external audits, ensuring effective close-out of non-conformances.Monitor and report on compliance metrics, identifying trends and improvement opportunities.Facilitate training and awareness initiatives to build a strong compliance culture.Represent the site in national compliance forums and contribute to the development of company-wide quality strategies.Support HACCP/VACCP/TACCP programs.Assist the QA manager with maintaining systems, procedures and documentation.Comply with health and safety regulationsWhat will you bring to the team?Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or related field.Minimum 3-5 years experience in food safety, quality assurance, or compliance within the food industry (meat processed foods preferred).Strong knowledge of HACCP, VACCP, TACCP, GMP, and relevant regulatory frameworks.Experience with customer standards such as BRCGS, CFMSR, WSEP, YUM!, ALDI and Halal.Experience with GS1 Recall system (highly regarded)Internal and external auditing experience.Skills in conducting risk assessments, validations and investigations.Strong attention to detail, problem solving and communication skills.Advance computer skills, particularly in Excel and QA systems.Team management and leadership experience.Shortlisting for this position will commence immediately and only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.We are not engaging recruitment agencies for this role and will not accept agency referrals.Unlock job insightsSalary match Number of applicants Skills matchYour application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
