Both inpatient and day patient programs are based on an interdisciplinary team approach where all team members play an integral role. The major casemix groups are orthopaedic, neurological, cardiac, and reconditioning, as well as palliative care and general medical.Role overviewAllied Health assistants (AHAs) are integral to the Allied Health team and provide clinical and administrative assistance and support to the Allied Health Professionals to ensure the delivery of a high-quality rehabilitation service. AHAs work under the direction and supervision of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and others to help clients achieve their rehabilitation goals.Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, manage time effectively, and complete activities.Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.Computer literacy skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and email applications.Current NSW driver''s license and willingness to drive for work purposes.Occupational therapy or physiotherapy qualification without APHRA registration, orCertificate IV in Allied Health Assistance.Knowledge of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy roles.Experience working with or providing care to people in a healthcare setting.A basic understanding of exercise classes.Why Healthscope?When you join Healthscope, you become part of our Community of Care.
