Cook / Chef Location: Yarrawonga Health Position Type: Part-Time and Casual positions available Join Our Team as a Hospital Cook or Chef!Yarrawonga Health is on the lookout for a skilled and passionate Cook or Chef to join our Support Services team. In this important role, youll help provide high-quality, nutritious, and appetising meals for our patients and staff.Whether you''re an experienced Cook or a qualified Chef with a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, this is your chance to make a meaningful impact in a supportive healthcare environment. Your Key Responsibilities:Prepare, cook, and present meals in line with food safety and hospital dietary standardsManage plating, meal production, and food distribution processesEnsure proper portion control, allergy awareness, and therapeutic diet complianceWork collaboratively with the kitchen and nutrition teams to ensure meal quality and consistency What Youll Need:Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (required for Chef position)Availability to work across various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, weekends, and public holidaysExperience in a healthcare, aged care, or similar high-volume kitchen environmentBasic computer literacyUnderstanding of confidentiality and workplace safetyStrong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skillsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamValid Food Handlers Certificate (or willingness to obtain)Satisfactory National Criminal History Check before starting Additional Requirements:Satisfactory Police CheckCompliance with mandatory vaccination requirements for healthcare workersYarrawonga Health is an equal opportunity employer, committed to attracting and supporting a diverse workforce.
