THE ORGANISATIONLionheart Camp for Kids (Lionheart) is a not-for-profit organisation working to support some of WAs most vulnerable children and families following the death of a family member. Lionheart has played a significant role in developing a connected, compassionate, and caring WA society, where grief is seen as a natural, healthy, and normal response to loss by providing childrens bereavement programs. Lionhearts Fundraising Strategy seeks to diversify our sources of funding to achieve financial sustainability, and this newly created position will play a key role in ensuring we meet our fundraising goals. The focus of this role will be to nurture funding relationships and build income from grants, donations and community fundraising.Success in this role means Lionheart has built meaningful relationships with donors and funders who feel genuinely valued and connected to our organisation, driving their continued support. To be successful in this role you will need to establish a strong understanding of our programs and services. By growing our fundraising activities, youll play a key role in strengthening Lionhearts long-term sustainability and enabling us to continue delivering impactful programs.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESFUNDRAISINGConsolidate the diversification of Lionhearts income stream as directed by the Board Approved Fundraising Strategy with a particular focus on donations (regular and annual giving campaigns), events and sponsorshipsGrow Lionhearts individual donor portfolio (regular and major donors) including annual giving campaigns, Wills and Bequests, and Trusts & FoundationsWork with the wider team to create and implement supporter campaigns and engagement strategies using the CRM, website, social media, and other assetsCoordinate the preparation of proposals and presentations for fundraising leads, including preparing applications, pitch decks, and other marketing collateralDevelop internal resources to support the wider organisation in fundraising activitiesResearch, identify and cultivate new suitable corporate partners in collaboration with the CEOWork together with operational team to help source and secure grants to run core services and new initiativesCOMMUNITY ENGAGEMENTIncrease awareness of Lionhearts brand and reputation in the community through fundraising initiativesNurture existing supporter relationships, ensuring regular and high-standard communicationsCoordinate the delivery of supporter engagement events and other in-person touch pointsAssist the CEO with the day-to-day management of selected major donor and partnership relationshipsADMINISTRATIONBe the key contact and organisation leader for data capture and extraction using Supporterhub (marketing & fundraising digital platform), including the generation of regular insights and reportsAdminister sponsor, grant funding and donor income, working with the CEO to reconcile revenue and reporting on actuals to targetsPrepare reporting and acquittal for funding partners, including keeping accurate records of deliverables and due datesProvide regular updates to the CEO/Board on fundraising efforts and resultsEMPLOYEE DUTIESComply with Lionheart operating policies and procedures e.g., privacy laws, confidentiality, anti- discrimination, work safe practices etc.Maintain strict confidentiality practices related to the handling of client informationEmbrace Lionhearts organisational values and ensure they are embedded in communications to all stakeholdersStay up to date with trends in fundraising and donor engagement, reporting findings to the CEOUndertake any other duties as directed by the CEO/BoardWe are looking for someone who is:Passionate and Proactive you are someone who believes in our vision and takes initiative.Relationship-focused & Strategic Communicator - you understand the importance of genuine, long-term relationships with donors, partners and supporters. Youll be proactive in streamlining processes, managing workflows, and maintaining accurate records to ensure donor and sponsorship engagement is consistent, timely and effective.Collaborative team player - you can work collaboratively and productively with the wider organisation, with a positive approach to problem-solving and a strong sense of accountability and open communication.ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIARelevant qualificationsProven ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, particularly with donors, sponsors, and philanthropic partnersExcellent oral communication, interpersonal and presentation skillsStrong written communication skills with experience developing marketing collateral and stakeholder communicationsDemonstrated ability to prepare clear, persuasive proposals, reports and communications tailored to diverse audiencesExcellent organisational and systems skills, including CRM management and Microsoft 365Proven ability to set and achieve goals and growth targetsWorking with Children CheckNational Police ClearanceDESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIAExperience working in not-for-profit, advocacy, or peak body organisations, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities in these fieldsDemonstrated successful fundraising experience across a range of donor programs including regular giving, appeals and partnershipsExperience developing, implementing and reviewing fundraising strategies #J-18808-Ljbffr
