Ready for the challenge?The RoleAs a Financial Accountant at Heidi Health, youll play a vital role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly and accurately. Reporting to the Head of Finance, youll be hands-on with the day-to-day accounting, month-end close, strategic projects and compliance activities that underpin our rapid growth.Youll bring technical expertise and a proactive mindset to ensure our financial reporting is timely, reliable, and adds value to business decisions. Beyond core accounting, youll have the opportunity to implement process improvements, leverage technology and AI to drive efficiencies, and collaborate with teams across the business to support operational and strategic initiatives.This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to grow their career in a high-impact role, working within a fast-paced SaaS environment while building out best-in-class financial processes from the ground up.What youll do:Own the day-to-day financial accounting and month-end processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.Prepare and post journals, reconciliations and adjustments across key accounts including revenue, payroll, and accruals.Assist with preparation of monthly management reports, board packs and variance analysis to support business decisions.Ensure compliance with all tax, BAS, payroll tax and statutory obligations.Identify inefficiencies, implement automation tools and enhance financial controls and operations using technology and AI where appropriate to our growthEngage with non-finance teams to streamline financial processes, support cash management and provide other financial insightsContribute to building a high-performance finance function that is proactive and value-adding to the overall businessWhat we will look for:CA or CPA qualified (or final stages)Previous experience in Big 4, private practice and/or high-growth SAASStrong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and/or international accounting standardsProcess automation and system implementation experience highly regardedAdvanced Excel proficiencyExcellent attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills, and stakeholder management.A proactive, self-starting mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
