We are guided by our values of integrity, trust, service, accountability, respect and empathy.To find out more about the Office of the Childrens Guardian, visit our website.About the roleThe Team Leader, Monitoring manages the Child Safe Monitoring team by providing support to achieve the key deliverables around the Assessment and Monitoring program, and ensure assessments are conducted efficiently, effectively, and in line with investigation principles. It is also responsible for using the data held to inform a risk-based approach to monitoring activities in a large and diverse industry.We are seeking a strong leader who will:Monitor the responsibilities of organisations under our legislation, and prepare briefing notes relating to contentious issues with recommended solutions.Coordinate and implement monitoring operations using data to prioritise areas of non-compliance with our legislation.Undertake and provide advice on, investigations into alleged breaches of the legislation or perceived trends of non-compliance.Key knowledge and experienceExperience in conducting assessment, monitoring and compliance operations and investigations with an ability to interpret and apply legislation.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as influence and negotiation skills.Demonstrated ability to build and sustain cohesive and effective teams, maximising performance at an individual and team level.Essential RequirementsCertificate IV in Government Investigations or willing to undergo studies to achieve certification.All roles associated with the Office of the Children''s Guardian are required to have a current Working with Children Check.Employment at the Office of the Childrens Guardian is subject to the satisfactory completion of security and vetting checks.The role also requires a current drivers licence as there is travel associated with this role.For further information about the role, please view the role description .Our commitment to DiversityWe welcome and encourage applications from people across our diverse community, especially from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants.
