And being at the forefront of a rapidly evolving industry gives our teams constant opportunities to build on their technical expertise.The HSE Manager is responsible for providing expert advice, leadership, and hands-on support to drive the improvement, promotion, and education of HSE at our Benalla site.Oversee project scope, cost control, scheduling, and quality assurance to ensure optimal project outcomes, while managing HSE performance and compliance across the Benalla facilityLead and coach the management team to implement Safety and Environmental Management Systems, ensuring ongoing compliance with Thales Explosive Safety and MHF certificationDevelop and maintain communication plans for HSE activities, including engagement with Comcare, internal stakeholders, and the local communityImplement Group and Division HSE strategies, management systems, and improvement plans, aligning site priorities and resources to meet organizational goalsManage, develop, and support HSE advisors and personnel, ensuring compliance with HSE management systems, accreditation, and legislationIdentify, assess, and manage site-specific HSE risks, ensuring appropriate controls are implemented and corrective actions are completedOn day one in this role, we''ll expect you to bring the following skills, experience and behaviours:Experience in production, construction, and manufacturing environments, with an understanding of emergency procedures and injury managementFamiliarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO9001, ISO14001) and experience in hazardous facilities.In-depth knowledge of MHF legislation, OHS & Dangerous Goods legislation, and Safety Management Systems.Extensive experience in managing people, achieving outcomes, and meeting contractual obligations and stakeholder expectations.Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and influence across all levels of the organization.Valid Drivers License and eligibility for an Australian Defence clearanceWillingness to work on-siteAs part of our commitment, we offer:Competitive remuneration + Super + Bonus + Medical InsuranceThalesFlex Hybrid work environmentRecognised leader in reservist employee supportVeterans LeaveFitness Passport Discount Access to a network of Gyms across AUSEmployee discounts with a number of affiliates (Travel, Car hire, Tech, Medical Insurance)Modernised Paid Parental LeaveNovated Lease optionsFamily support through our partnership with Parents at WorkPersonal & professional training development opportunitiesSonder Wellbeing & Support PartnerAccess to a network of the best people (A Noble Prize winner on our staff list!)And much more!Good to KnowInternational Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
