Lead a passionate teamAdd expected salary to your profile for insightsSeeking a Centre Director in our Victor Harbor (Chiton SA) Childcare CentreAbout the RoleBright Steps Academy Victor Harbor (Chiton) are looking for an experienced and inspiring Centre Director to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of our early childhood education and care service in Victor Harbor South Australia.In this leadership role, youll mentor and support your team of educators, ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), build strong relationships with families, and create an environment where children thrive. Youll oversee all aspects of the service from educational quality and compliance to people management, enrolments, and administration.What Were Looking ForMinimum 2 years experience as a Centre Director.Experience using OWNA software is a plus (but not essential).Holds an approved Early Childhood Teaching Qualification (ECT) or Diploma.A genuine passion for supporting children, families, and educators in a welcoming, high-quality environment.Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.Commitment to being a proud Child Safe Organisation, fostering warm, secure, and trusted environments where every child is safe, respected, and supported.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, manage, and support the team to deliver high-quality education and care in line with the NQF and service philosophy.Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for children, families, and staff.Oversee the implementation of programs and practices that reflect best practice and meet individual needs of children.Ensure compliance with all legislative, regulatory, and organisational requirements.Manage enrolments, budgets, and administration to ensure the smooth operation of the service.Build strong, positive relationships with families and the wider community.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and team performance.Qualifications & RequirementsApproved Early Childhood Teaching (ECT) qualification, or Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent).Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis qualifications (approved by ACECQA).Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check (where applicable).Strong knowledge of the NQF, Education and Care Services National Regulations, and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.What We OfferA supportive, collaborative team and positive workplace culture.Birthday leaveOpportunities for professional growth and career advancement.We offer an above-award salary that recognises and rewards your skills, experience, and dedication.The chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children, families, and educators every day.Ready to take the next step in your career?Wed love to hear from you!
