Job Description:Pay Range: $16hr - $17hrThe Paging and Communications Coordinator is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing calls, processing paging requests, issuing and maintaining pagers, and responding to various emergency situations.This role involves handling sensitive and confidential patient information, coordinating on-call schedules, and managing telephone inquiries efficiently and courteously in a fast-paced healthcare environment.Responsibilities:Manage incoming and outgoing calls efficiently using prescribed phraseologyProcess paging requests and accurately update the current paging statusIssue new, replacement, and loaner pagers, as well as update the telephone directory and paging databases.Understand and activate emergency codes, including medical, fire, internal and external disasters.Respond to telephone inquiries for patient information, maintaining confidentiality.Handle staff requests regarding department on-call schedules.Answer service calls efficiently, following prescribed guidelines.Escalate difficult or unusual issues to the Supervisor.Perform responsibilities across multiple locations, as needed.Adhere to Mass General Brigham values in decision-making, actions, and interactions with others.Qualification And Education:High school diploma or equivalent.Typing speed of 35 wpm and proficiency in MS Windows applications.Experience in phone-based customer service and/or call centers, preferably in a hospital or medical setting.Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.Skills:Ability to multi-task and toggle between multiple screens and software solutions.Strong interpersonal and telephone communication skills.Capability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment.Ability to work independently and stay highly motivated.Excellent spelling and grammar skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
