You will have the opportunity to produce a wide range of quality products, using local, seasonal produce, whilst exercising your knowledge of hygiene and safety and maintaining our high guest service standards.A little taste of your day-to-day:Every day is different, but youll mostly be:Making every single meal a feast for the eyes and a treat for the tastebudsTaking ownership of your workstation keeping on top of supplies, equipment and wasteBeing cleaner than clean to meet or exceed local cleanliness and hygiene lawsHelping with washing up and other kitchen duties where neededTaking on other ad-hoc duties like a true team playerWhat We need from you:At Hotel Indigo we look for people who are energetic, approachable and cultured with a sense of fun; always curious to discover more and share thoughtful suggestions with our guests and colleagues. A passion for Adelaide and our local region is what sets us apart from the rest!You will also have:Commercial Cookery qualification and 1-2 years of previous culinary experienceAn understanding of HACCP and the ability to comply with local laws on food handlingMust hold a valid Safe Food Handling CertificateGreat communication youll be warm, welcoming and easy to talk toThe strength to lift, push and pull big objects up to 23 kg, which can also involve bending and kneelingA good grasp of reading, writing and basic mathsThe flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends, nights and public holidaysMust meet the legal requirements to work in Australia without limitations or restrictionsWhy Join Us?At IHG Hotels & Resorts, we empower our people to thrive.
