This role is responsible for developing and executing the B2C PR strategy in Australia, building media visibility, managing sensitive communications issues, and crafting compelling media-worthy narratives. Youll work closely with stakeholders across the clinic including doctors, nurses, and operational teams as well as cross-functional partners across the business. This role sits within Montus Communications Team and forms part of the wider Corporate Affairs & Patient Advocacy function, alongside government relations, medical affairs, and healthcare practitioner education.Communications & PR StrategyDevelop and implement an integrated public relations and communications strategy that supports Alternaleafs business goals and reinforces its focus on clinical best practice and patient care.Craft core messaging and clinic positioning, aligned with our brand voice and regulatory obligations.Prepare and pitch compelling stories to the media to drive awareness and build trust.Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Corporate Affairs & Patient Advocacy, Compliance, Marketing, and Product & Tech teams to ensure strategic alignment and messaging accuracy and consistency.Manage the Alternaleaf PR budget in line with aligned strategic outcomes.Track, analyse, and report on media outcomes and sentiment using appropriate tools and metrics.Media Relations & Content ExecutionSecure positive earned media coverage by pitching compelling narratives to top-tier national and industry media.Build and maintain strong relationships with key journalists, editors, producers, and industry stakeholders.Develop high-quality communications assets including:Media releases, media kits, and spokesperson briefsMessaging documents, FAQs, and responses to media enquiriesThought leadership content such as opinion piecesSocial media and LinkedIn contentPatient and healthcare professional communications and clinic updatesManage the day-to-day Alternaleaf press office, including reactive and proactive media engagement.Deliver media training for senior executives, medical leaders, and subject matter experts.Issues ManagementMonitor reputational risks in a fast-paced, highly regulated, and issue-rich environment.Support clinic operations by managing communications related to key developments or operational issues.This includes regular engagement with key stakeholders in the clinic and developing communications materials such as patient and doctor communications, media statements and other stakeholder materials.QualificationsExtensive experience in B2C PR strategy & executionExperience developing and writing content is a must (media releases, media materials, social content, thought leadership articles and opinion pieces)5+ years of relevant experience in PR in medical, healthcare or adjacent regulated sectorsStrong organisational and multitasking abilities with experience managing multiple priorities and projectsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency developing content for digital and social media platformsExceptional attention to detailExperience with tools for monitoring and reporting on earned media metricsStay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and other innovationsAdditional InformationYou''ll be joining a high-performing, fast-paced team where your work drives meaningful impact in a leading tech company at the intersection of healthcare.
