Responsibilities include account balancing, ledger reconciliation, reporting, and discrepancy resolution.Maintain the general ledger and prepare monthly reports for the hotel.Prepare month-end journal entries for review by the Director of Finance and post them into the general ledger.Ensure all general ledger reconciliations are completed monthly with supporting documentation and resolve reconciling items promptly.Coordinate and prepare monthly Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet statements to meet reporting deadlines.Assist in the preparation of monthly forecasts and annual budgets, coordinating input from department heads.Review daily general cashier reports and monthly summaries, liaising with the Director of Finance regarding irregularities.Assist with daily revenue reports and review income auditor packs before distribution.Review and sign daily credit card refund batches and Opera Posting Summaries.Review and sign monthly summaries of in-house codes, liaising with the Director of Finance on irregularities.Obtain and review daily rebates from Income Auditor for adequacy and approval evidence.Distribute monthly profit and loss accounts and liaise with department heads on financial matters.Review stock take results and food and beverage cost reports; investigate irregularities.Prepare GST returns, FBT, withholding tax remittances, and electronic payments.Complete tax and statistical reports.Assist with internal and external audits.Monitor compliance with policies and procedures, implementing updates as necessary.Manage hotel archiving system and prepare schedules for owners.Process travel agent commissions regularly.Support the Director of Finance in their duties.Monitor capital expenditure and vendor contracts.Oversee accounts receivable and bank statement input accuracy.Review accounts payable reconciliations and purchase journals.Attend to daily administrative tasks and resolve issues with staff.Participate in hotel meetings and department head meetings as needed.Maintain knowledge of financial controls, inventory, costs, expenses, and cash handling policies.Join Marriott International''s Select portfolio, which has prioritized people-first values for over 90 years.
