We integrate cutting-edge technology with mission-critical systems to deliver reliable and effective training environments for Defence personnel.We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Systems Technician to join our technical support team, playing a key role in the maintenance and readiness of high-value training systems.About the RoleAs a Systems Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the performance and availability of training systems to defined standards. This includes preventative and corrective hardware/software maintenance, daily system readiness checks, and fault diagnosis and resolution across a range of IT and simulation platforms.This role is ideal for a technically proficient individual who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, supporting synthetic training events, and working as part of a collaborative team in a defence environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Systems Technician, you will:Provide diagnostic and corrective maintenance on hardware and software for training systemsConduct ongoing preventative maintenance to ensure systems remain in working orderResolve complex technical issues with a proactive and analytical approachRun diagnostics and performance monitoring tests on training systemsRepair and maintain PCs using Microsoft and Linux operating systemsSupport local area network repairs using Microsoft Windows Server and Linux environmentsInstall and configure software, drivers, and hardware componentsDeliver technical support during synthetic training activitiesMentor and support less experienced techniciansPerform system cleaning, inspections, and fault reportingCarry out other support tasks related to training systems as requiredDemonstrate strong troubleshooting ability and clear communicationQualifications and ExperienceTo be successful in this role, you will have:A Diploma in Electronics, Information Technology, or Computer Networks from an accredited institutionA current NV1 security clearance (mandatory)Minimum 5 years experience in technical support, including IT systems, electronics, computers, and networksStrong knowledge of Windows, Linux, and network technologiesExcellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skillsWhy Join Cubic Defence Australia?Work with advanced simulation and IT systemsBe part of a collaborative and high-performing technical teamOpportunities for professional growth and developmentCompetitive salary and benefitsHow to Express your InterestSubmit your CV outlining your suitability for the role.Please note: Only applicants with a current NV1 security clearance will be considered.
