Located inside Westmead Hospital, you will work in close partnership with hospital leadership and the community to support exceptional healthcare, research and patient care.About Westmead Hospital FoundationAs the official fundraising partner of Westmead Hospital, the Foundation exists to connect donors, partners and supporters to the causes that matter most. We help bridge critical gaps in government funding by raising money for advanced equipment, lifesaving medical research, and programs that improve the hospital experience for patients and staff.Our work is grounded in community and driven by impact. Every dollar raised stays local and helps support over 1.8 million people across Greater Western Sydney.About the roleReporting to the Board of Directors, the General Manager is responsible for leading the strategic and operational direction of the Foundation. You will guide all aspects of fundraising and operations, grow revenue streams, lead a passionate team, and strengthen stakeholder relationships across health, corporate, government and community sectors.This is a rare opportunity for a hands-on leader to shape a growing charity that is trusted, visible and aligned to one of Australias busiest hospitals.Key responsibilitiesDeliver and evolve the Foundations strategic plan in alignment with hospital prioritiesLead all fundraising streams, including major gifts, bequests, regular giving, events and corporate partnershipsBuild and nurture long-term relationships with donors, clinical leaders and key community stakeholdersRepresent the Foundation in public forums and across the Western Sydney communityManage financial operations, compliance, HR and governance in collaboration with the BoardFoster a collaborative, values-led team culture that is focused on innovation and impactAbout youYou are a purpose-driven and hands-on leader who thrives in dynamic environments. You bring strategic thinking, fundraising expertise and a deep understanding of how to build strong partnerships that deliver lasting outcomes in a healthcare and community centered context.You bring:Senior leadership experience in fundraising, philanthropy or mission-driven organisationsA proven ability to deliver growth through strategic planning, results oriented delivery and stakeholder engagementStrong financial literacy and experience managing budgets and reportingExcellent communication and relationship management skillsA collaborative, hands-on leadership style and a deep connection to community wellbeingExperience in or familiarity with the health sector is highly desirableA connection to or understanding of the Western Sydney community is highly desirableThis is a leadership role with genuine meaning and tangible impact.
