Our training is delivered to students and apprentices on-site, online, in the workplace, or on-campus to give people the skills they need to enrich their communities, support their industries, and strengthen their local economies.By working at TAFE Queensland, you can be part of a highly experienced workforce closely connected with their industries and dedicated to delivering best practices and innovative training.Your OpportunityAs the Assett Management Oficer you will be responsible for:Work in consultation with the Department, TAFE Queensland and relevant stakeholders on the implementation of TAFE Queensland infrastructure initiatives for the North Region to ensure consistency with organisational strategy, commitment and goals is achieved.Provide direction and leadership in the implementation, development and evaluation of campus utilisation and optimisation that provides fit for purpose facilities and infrastructure for the immediate and future training delivery needs.Provide leadership, direction and support to identify, attract and engage appropriate stakeholders to progress the implementation and completion of the infrastructure and asset initiatives.Manage TAFE Norths development projects including overseeing project planning, development processes and project reporting.This position reports to the Manager, Infrastructure and LogisticsThis is a Permanent, Full-Time opportunityThe position will be based primarily at either Cairns or Townsville campuses however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.Key ResponsibilitiesContribute to the success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling the established values of Safety First, Working Together, Focussing on our Customer, Taking Responsibility and Showing Initiative.Live a safety culture, lead by example and support the Health Safety and Environment Management System to create a TAFE Queensland North-wide safety culture.Execute high level project management skills to prioritise, manage and support the introduction of infrastructure projects at TAFE Queensland North. Possess highly developed research, analytical and problem-solving skills to gather and compile information, develop reports and make educated decisions and recommendationsManage the successful implementation and completion of identified TAFE Queensland Norths infrastructure projects in a timely manner, utilising project management skills both individually and collaboratively with team members.Develop and provide advice on processes and procedures related to the various functions involved in Asset Management and assist in the monitoring and review of their progress to ensure they meet the needs of TAFE QueenslandParticipate as a facilitator of change by implementing strategies designed to achieve organisational improvements and promote business acumen to the organisations staff.Develop and maintain effective communication through negotiation and liaison with key stakeholders on matters related to specific project outcomes and the benefit to the business.Negotiate and coordinate the development of project proposals/business cases to support campus utilisation and optimisation where consistent with return on investment requirements and the organisations strategic objectives and goals.Provide advice and report on the progress of relevant aspects of project activities to senior/supervising staff as required to ensure that project activities are consistent with organisational requirements and that priorities and timelines are met.Support the organisations business units to develop and implement project methodologies, resources and tools to achieve outcomes.Facilitate the development of Annual Maintenance Plans across TAFE Queensland Norths campuses and implementation of strategic maintenance planning frameworkResearch, make recommendations and prepare and present reports, documents and responses relating to designated projects and tasks.Liaise with identified stakeholders on business planning, process modelling and application strategies as a foundation for the achievement of successful project outcomes.Contribute to the continued success of the organisation through participation in purpose-based networks, team activities, performance management processes and professional development and training programs.Undertake other work as directed.How You Will Be AssessedThe ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:Demonstrates well developed project management skills with the ability to develop project plans, deliver outputs, research and develop innovative strategies and solutions that lead to the achievement of organisational goals.Demonstrated ability to manage and provide guidance to teams and provide consistency in project management methodology Asset Management practices, whilst maintaining clear communication to key stakeholders.Understanding of the function of Asset Management within an organisation and experience in developing asset management plans, strategies, and policies to improve asset lifecycle managementDisplays flexibility and responsiveness and has the initiative, positive attitude and ability to thrive within a dynamic, challenging and changing environment.High level communication skills and the ability to sustain productive stakeholder relationships and work collaboratively with executives, staff and diverse stakeholders, both internal and external to TAFE Queensland North to achieve commercial outcomes for the business.High level of interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to consult and negotiate on significant issues with various internal and external stakeholders.Highly Desirable RequirementsA Qualification in Project Management or equivalent experiencePrevious experience using or developing Asset Management SystemsExperience in project management methodologyHow To ApplyIf youre interested in this role, click the Apply button to submit your application via the TAFE Queensland Recruitment Portal.
