The RoleOur client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate daily operations across a diverse irrigated cropping enterprise. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, excellent agronomy and mechanical knowledge, and practical experience in all facets of potato and seed crop production systems.The successful applicant will be required to develop and implement crop plans, irrigation schedules, and agronomy programs in collaboration with the owners and agronomists and will be proficient in the use of Agworld and Safe Ag Systems. Monitoring crop performance and health; and managing of pests, diseases, and weeds utilising integrated management practices is integral to the success of this multi-faceted business.In addition to supervising and managing farm staff, seasonal workers, and contractors, the Operational Manager will need to maintain and improve irrigation systems (centre pivots, hard hose, and solid set systems), ensuring optimal water use.The Employer:This successful and innovative family-run farming enterprise is based in the Southern Riverina, specialising in the production of certified seed potatoes, pasture and forage seed, irrigated cropping and trades approximately 100 head of beef cattle annually.
