Taking a hands-on approach, this Senior Financial Accountant''s position will help lead the management and communication of the companies financial & corporate accounting activities on both a domestic and international scale. Initially this will be a contractual assignment, however there is the opportunity for this role to be extended.About The RoleAn exciting immediate start role with a industry-leading organisation currently exists in order to fill a key role in their finance team. Taking a hands-on approach, this Senior Financial Accountant''s position will help lead the management and communication of the companies financial & corporate accounting activities on both a domestic and international scale. Initially this will be a contractual assignment, however there is the opportunity for this role to be extended.The ResponsibilitiesReporting into the CFO, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);Manage end-to-end payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant laws (PAYG, payroll tax, superannuation).Prepare and lodge BAS returns.Lead month-end close: journal entries, reconciliations, financial reporting.Support the annual audit by preparing workpapers and coordinating with auditors.Assist with tax compliance in collaboration with external advisors.Work with finance and cross-functional teamsCoordinate audit and statutory reporting for legacy periodsAssist CFO with timely month-end reporting and consolidationIdentify and implement improvements in accounting processes and systemsThe successful applicant will haveCA or CPA qualificationAt least 6 years experience in Financial Accounting & ReportingFull function experiencceExposure to MYOB will be highly favouredMust be able to be in the office 5 days a weekAdditional benefitsExtensive corporate trainingLarge growth mandateHighly flexible working arrangementsHigh level of exposure to senior managementSubstantial salary + superannuationAbout The ClientOur client is a global industry-leading organisation.
