Our acclaimed self-help website (www.nfplaw.org.au) has over 300 legal resources and is the foundation of our service model. We offer legal advice and educational services to organisations across Australia, and advocate for improved standards and legal frameworks for the not-for-profit sector.We also run a certified legal training social enterprise and deliver a dedicated service for Local Aboriginal Land Councils in NSW.Our ideal candidateYou''ll bring to the team experience in the following areas:Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to give accurate and practical legal information and adviceDemonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team environmentExcellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including in particular Aboriginal people, in a professional and respectful mannerStrong attention to detail and ability to stay focussed under pressure and to appropriately prioritise competing demandsComfort working in agile practice with openness to pivoting as organisational and team priorities changeDrive, focus, good judgment and a sense of humourCommitment to Justice Connects vision, strategy and values, including a commitment to social justiceSound computer skills within a legal practice environment (knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics desirable)Expertise that you may have that would support our team:Eligible to hold an unrestricted practicing certificateCandidates will need to demonstrate commitment to Justice Connect''s vision, strategy and values.What you will achieve in the roleWorking as a part of a team, you''ll play a key role in the provision of legal advice services to community organisations.
