About Us JBS Australia is the largest and most respected meat and food producer in Australia. We have a strong portfolio of leading and renowned beef, lamb, pork, salmon, and value-added branded products, such as AMH, Swift, Primo, Murray Valley, and Huon. Situated on 2,000ha, the JBS Riverina Beef plant is part of the Riverina integrated farming, feedlot, and processing operation. The cattle are walked from the feedlot to the plant, minimizing stress and transportation costs while improving eating quality. It is one of only two such facilities in the southern hemisphere. Located just outside Yanco, between Leeton and Narrandera in southern NSW, in the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation district (or Riverina region), the plant sources high-quality feeder cattle and grain to produce premium beef. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role is ideal for someone looking to further develop their accounting experience within a global leader in the meat industry. Your key responsibilities will include: Collecting and recording data for the preparation of timely and accurate weekly/monthly results and reports Preparing journals and general ledger reconciliations Preparing month-end reports including analysis of operating costs Analyzing standard to actual cost variances Identifying challenges and opportunities and recommending corrective actions to meet cost performance targets Serving as a business partner to the Plant Manager and Operations Team, providing support on plant performance and financial processes Following up and liaising with Senior Management on site queries Inventory control, including reconciliations for hides, skins, by-products, dry-goods, and off-site inventory Coding and reviewing all Accounts Payable invoices Monitoring AFE project completion and facilitating asset capitalization About You Experience in a similar role highly regarded Strong knowledge of accounting principles SAP experience advantageous Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or similar discipline highly regarded Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to identify basic cause & effect relationships Strong analytical skills Exceptional prioritization and multitasking abilities Excellent attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and in a team Energetic, passionate, and enthusiastic with a focus on system improvement Interested?
